Let's take stock of the situtation

We are fighting a war we have no chance of winning in Iraq, because in essence we are acting as a security force, while we are waiting for the Iraqi Government to stabilize, in the middle of a sectarian Civil War.

We are paying for this by billing future generations.

War profiteers are soaking the American public, with sweetheart no-bid deals, and when we audit the books to proove we are being cheated nothing happens.

The great American Military is in disarray, and demoralized. We are ruining the lives of countless American families, by forcing Army reserves/National Guard members to serve multiple tours, and basically abandoning them, when they return to the U.S., after being wounded.

We have an Attorney General and staff members who have told bald faced lies to the American public, and to Congress. We have an Attorney General who tells us these U.S. Attorneys were fired for due cause, and that he approved it, even though he doesn't know why they were dismissed.

The President has renewed his endorsement of the Attorney General after lieing through his teeth before Congress.

We have White House staff using unofficial email channels to conduct White House business, and the White House is directing the RNC not to turn over emails to Congress without a review by the White House first. As well, somehow 5,000 emails of Carl Rove have disappeared from the 2003- 2007 timeframe.

We have U.S. attorney's being dismissed for not pursuing cases that the FBI has investigated, and the FBI investigation and recommendation was NOT to purse charges.

We have U.S. Attorney's who saved their jobs by pursuing cases that were tossed out of Court, and others who used good judgment to not pursue unwinnable cases losing their jobs.

We have U.S. Attorney's in Texas who wasted resources pursuing Voter Fraud cases against a handful of elderly hispanic Democrats, instead of pursuing a slam dunk case of rape and child abuse in the Texas Youth Authority.

We have Global Warming, yet no sense of urgency by our National Leaders.

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't hallucinating.

Yep. That's the situation all right. Sucks, don't it?

Perhaps it has something to do with the Peter Principle. Maybe mankind is just too stupid to progress further than this. Of course there's the chance that insanity is a contagious disease. . .

The facts are out there. People either have their head in the ground, or have their fingers in their ears at the same time yelling "la, la, la, la".

Crimes are being committed, and people refuse to get involved.

They'd rather watch Oprah, and piss and moan about Sanjaya than deal with things of substance.

Pitiful.

The Dem's have to be smart about how they drive this oversight process. Going after Condi on the yellow cake stuff seems to be a waste of time and energy. Keep things simple. If they can get their hands on the emails from the RNC server, that will prove to be a Pot o Gold.

That's depressing.

It really doesn't get much worse.

The bunch of criminals running the country have no idea what the principles underlying the republic are -- let alone a desire to uphold them. They subscribe to some type of social-darwinism where those with money and power MUST be better than the rest of us simply because they have money and power.
