Cowards?

"Only cowards cut and run?"

Isn't this exactly what our commander in chief did when he got out of his National Guard service early?

"I'm a War President?".

For once, I may just agree with the NRA. It's time to get a hunting license, and get your quota of chickenhawks.

Since America didn't stay the course in Vietnam, does that mean that all the Vietnam vets are cowards? Perhaps that explains why the society leaves them to beg for money and food on the side of freeways while cutting benefits to the VA.

It's remarkable that two a-holes who never served have the nerve to call others cowards.

II, that's the point isn't it? We seem to live and work with highly intelligent people, yet when we ask them to really look at the actions and words of our current leadership, all we get is Clinton got impeached for a BJ comeback line.

The most childish of responses possible, yet that is what we are stuck with.

I admire you for your constant pursuit of philosphical discussions, and attempts to draw people in to "real" hard looks at reality.

That response (Clinton BJ) is my personal pet peev...

People try to spin it into some type of huge deal -- a moral and ethical dilemma -- for the entire country.

If we only paid as much attention to the current crop of decision makers we'd be a lot better off.

It's the binary view of the world that people of that stripe cherish so dearly. The opposite of Bush is Clinton because they are unable to grasp there are palatable alternatives between womanizer and war-monger.

Thanks for the compliment. I also admire you for your dogged pursuit of sensibility about the world. You are a breath of fresh air.

II, thanks as well. I consider myself a simple man. Too many people try to over complicate things. I try to break things down to the most basic or elements or root causes, and deal with them at that level.

You have to be true to yourself, and it just kills me to see people compromise their basic values, and to see their actions in contradiction to their words.

How can they look at themselves in the mirror? Delusional.

RR & II, have a great Thanksgiving. Be thankful for what you have. I'm thankful your are caring, reasonable people, who want to make a difference in the world.
